Kentwood Police and Barking Boutique are asking for the public's help identifying a women who is accused of shoplifting a puppy from the store's Kentwood location.

The stolen puppy is Jet, a black and tan male Yorkshire Terrier, WZZM-13 reports.

According to Barking Boutique, the woman entered the store at 4547 28th St. SE in Grand Rapids at 6:58 p.m. (Barking Boutique's Facebook post doesn't specify what day, but I'm assuming Saturday, Feb. 13).

They say the woman lingered in the store and hovered over a puppy bassinet, before picking up the yorkie and leaving the building without paying at 7:00 p.m.

Barking boutique has shared photos and a video of the incident. They are offering a reward up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest and the safe return of the puppy.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Kentwood Police Department at 616-698-6580.

They say that the call will be kept confidential.
