Lady Gaga tweeted that she is shooting her perfume campaign this weekend, posting: “Looking forward to this weekend. Shooting my parfum campaign and commercial with Steven Klein. Will be edited to a special song.” We already know the campaign ads will be visual spectacles, since this is Gaga we’re talking about. We can’t wait until she leaks photos from the big shoot. But the billion dollar question remains: What will her signature scent smell like? Turns out it will have notes of “expensive hooker” in the recipe.

Mama Monster had previously said that she had wanted a “blood and semen” smell for Eau de Gaga, and planned to incorporate her own DNA into the scent via samples of her own blood. Now, she’s upgraded her standards a little, hoping to recreate the scent of an “expensive hooker.” A high-priced escort is better than a cheap one, no?

Gaga is working with a Swiss fragrance company called Givaudan on the launch, which is slated for some time in 2012. Celebrity fragrances are big business in the beauty industry, and this one could be the mother (monster) of all launches.

‘‘I can say it’s comfortably something you’ve never smelt before, that you’ll never forget,” fragrance inventor Dawn Goldworm of Paris-based Coty Beauty, said, according to Bloomberg.

So far accords and notes of blood, semen and expensive hooker are said to be factored into the final scent, which will take on a life of its own. It won’t smell like anything else currently clogging the retail shelves with celebrity names on the bottle.

How many little monsters out there are dying to catch a whiff of Gaga’s signature perfume upon release?
