Recall Alert: Liquid Eggs Made In Michigan Could Contain Bleach

Prices are already high due to the damaging effects of the bird flu that wreaked havoc on egg-laying hens.

This shortage only made things worse by increasing the price of a dozen eggs.

Now, eggs manufactured in Michigan have been recalled by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).

Recall Alert: Liquid Eggs Made In Michigan Could Contain Bleach

The recalled eggs were made at Cargill Kitchen Solutions in Lake Odessa, Michigan.

The recall is for over 200,000 pounds of the products, which were made on March 12th and March 13th.

What Egg Products Are Being Recalled

The following products are being recalled.

Egg Beaters Original Liquid Egg Substitute, 32-oz. (2-lb.) carton, use-by date: AUG 10 2025.

Egg Beaters Cage-free Original Frozen Egg Substitute, 32-oz. (2-lb.) carton and Egg Beaters No Enjauladas Original Sustituto de Huevo Congelado, use-by date: MAR 07 2026.

Egg Beaters Cage-free Original Liquid Egg Substitute, 32-oz. (2-lb.) carton, use-by date: AUG 09 2025.

Bob Evans Better'n Eggs Made with Real Egg Whites 32-oz. (2-lb.) carton, use-by date: AUG 10 2025.

The recalled items also have the establishment number "G1804" ink-jetted on the carton.

What Should You Do If You Have These Recalled Eggs

According to Cargill Kitchen Solutions products affected by the recall were distributed to food-service customers in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Iowa, Ohio and Texas.

If you do live in Michigan and have any of the eggs you're urged not to eat them, and restaurants are urged not to serve them.

They should be thrown away or returned to where they were purchased.
