Arcade and oddity lovers across Michigan have been making stops to visit Marvin's Mechanical Museum for nearly 100 years. Located in Farmington Hills, the museum/arcade offers one of the US's most unique collections of coin-powered machines and games.

Started as a side project of a family pharmacy in Detroit, the late Marvin Yagoda and his parents, Marvin's incredible collection is now homeless after an announcement that a construction project would be demolishing it's home.

Over the weekend, the Facebook page for the museum shared posts showing people visiting for their final weekend in their original location. They also shared that a documentary crew showed up to help share the stories of people who had stories about their love for the unique collection and games. I'm sure at least someone mentioned the entire album that is named after the iconic spot.

My husband and I got married there via this machine long before we got really married, so it's always held a special place in our hearts:

While many feared it would be the last time they would see this collection together, the museum is teasing they're far from done. At the end of a post teasing their final weekend, they shared that they may be announcing a new home soon:

And in their most recent, and what seems to a final "for now" post, they said:

Currently it seems that there are no concrete plans as to where this beloved dream factory may end up. But, there are many across the state (and country) who are excited to see where it's new home may be. After all, what fun is life without a little marvel and mechanical fun?

I encourage you to follow them on social media to be the first to know about any future updates to where they may land.
