McDonald’s Bringing 4 Menu Items from Other Countries to the U.S.
Although McDonald's is found all over the world the menus differ from country to country; and pretty soon taste buds across America will get a taste of international without ever having to leave.
In a press release from the fast food chain they will release four foods found on menus across the globe. The new items include:
Stroopwafel McFlurry (The Netherlands)
vanilla soft serve mixed with caramel swirl and authentic chopped Dutch Daelmans Stroopwafel caramel waffle cookie pieces.
Grand McExtreme Bacon Burger (Spain)
topped with smoked bacon, smoky McBacon Sauce, Gouda cheese and onions
Tomato Mozzarella Chicken Sandwich (Canada)
grilled or crispy chicken topped with tomato & herb sauce, mozzarella cheese, onions, lettuce and sliced Roma tomatoes on a toasted artisan roll.
Cheesy Bacon Fries (Australia)
fries topped with cheddar cheese sauce and Applewood smoked bacon.
O-M-G that McFlurry sounds delicious, especially at 2 a.m. And I'm confused as to why there weren't cheesy bacon fries already on the menu?! Is there anything more American than cheese and bacon?!
You'll be able to try one (or all) of the items from around the world on June 5th which is prime time for that summer beach bod. They will be available at participating McDonald's restaurants for only a limited time.
This is the first time the company has done Worldwide Favorites on nationwide locations in the U.S. Side note - if you're ever in downtown Chicago they do a rotating worldwide menu at their global headquarters.
Take a look at the gallery below of the new foods because obviously just a description doesn't do them justice.
