In TerHaar's goodbye Facebook post, she gave her appreciation for the team that she worked with for 20 years.

I have loved my role as the weekday morning news anchor and I'm so grateful for this incredible team, both on-air and all the talented producers, photographers, and production staff making it happen behind the scenes! I'm so thankful for this wonderful season of working alongside them to bring you stories that matter to our community.

Meredith's career started at 13 ON YOUR SIDE as the morning show producer once she was in her final semester at Hope College.

After that, she and her husband moved to Panama City Beach, Florida where she became the 5 p.m. news producer, anchor, and 10 p.m. reporter.

Thankfully for us, Meredith moved back to West Michigan to become the weekend morning news anchor in 2014 until she was promoted to weekday morning news anchor around the start of the pandemic in 2020.

What is Meredith TerHaar doing next?

Even though you won't be able to see TerHaar during your daily watch of the morning news, she will still be in the West Michigan area.

In her Facebook post, Meredith says that she will be taking over a new role as a Communications Specialist with Corewell Health.

I'm thrilled to share that I have a new job as a Communications Specialist with Corewell Health, supporting both their Zeeland and Grand Haven campuses. I love West Michigan's lakeshore communities and I'm so excited about this role!

Meredith TerHaar will be missed on 13 ON YOUR SIDE but if you want to keep up to date with her, you can follow her on social media.
