Can You Legally Drop A Deuce On The Side Of The Road In Michigan?
On Friday afternoon my wife Lindsey and I were heading south toward Indianapolis, Indiana for a Morgan Wallen concert.

While driving on US-31 a minivan in the distance quickly slowed down and pulled over to the side of the road.
Before they came to a complete stop a man jumped out of the sliding door and had a look of panic on his face.
He ran into the grass and dropped his pants like they were on fire.
We kept driving but I couldn't stop wondering if someone had extra napkins in the minivan.
I also wondered if a cop had been nearby could he have gotten in trouble?
Can You Legally Drop A Deuce On The Side Of The Road In Michigan?
I've had some close calls but never had to pop a squat on the side of the road to drop a deuce.
I have pulled over before n a highway or dirt road and urinated but I was moments away from peeing my pants.
Under those extreme situations, I believe you should be able to do it.
When Nature Calls = An Act of God
That's my humble opinion but when it comes to the law in Michigan there are a few charges that can be associated with urinating or defecating in public.
According to Michigan Law Grad
In Michigan, there is a simple and aggravated indecent exposure when they knowingly makes any open or indecent exposure of his or her person to another person. It becomes the more serious aggravated when the indecent exposure involves fondling yourself or engaging in any sexual acts. Aggravated indecent exposure is essentially masturbating in public, which is a felony offense that carrying a maximum penalty of up to two years in the state prison as well as a fine of up to $2000. Simple indecent exposure is a misdemeanor offense. Urinating in public could be charged as indecent exposure or it can be charged as a local ordinance as public urinating, which is still a 90-day criminal misdemeanor.
