Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer, affectionally known as "Big Gretch", has been speculated to be a top presidential candidate for the Democratic party.

In recent months, when asked if she would consider a run for president she said,

“I don’t know that I’ll put my name on the ballot again. I’m just not sure, but I also am 54 years old. I got a lot of gas in the tank."

While talking to Fox 2 Detroit at Michigan’s annual Mackinac policy conference, Governor Gretchen Whitmer gave a clear answer to anyone wondering if she would be running for president in 2028.

“I think there will be a robust group of people running for president. I will not be one of them in 2028."
