Michigan Humane Society Offers $2,500 For Information in Case of Disfigured Dog
The Michigan Humane Society is offering a $2,500 reward to anyone who can give them information leading to the arrest and conviction of the individual(s) responsible for brutally disfiguring a brown and tan Rottweiler found on Detroit's southwest side.
Someone noticed the dog Tuesday and contacted officials who swiftly moved in to rescue the dog. Once found, he was transported to Mackey Center for Animal Care in Detroit, where he was tended to by veterinary staff.
The Detroit News reports that the dog's nose and ears had been "viciously" removed, and he also had lacerations on his legs and tail.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Michigan Humane Society Cruelty Investigation Department at (313) 872-3401.
Due to the extent of the dog's injuries, MHS is unsure when he will be available for adoption.
