Recently, a West Michigan bar and grill held such a competition.
The competitors were not eating hot dogs like Joey Chestnut does every 4th of July or seeing who could eat the most chicken wings. No, these fearless food competitors faced the challenge of consuming 24 ounces of ranch dressing the fastest.

The first contest of its kind took place at The Harmful Rooster in Belding, Michigan.
Besides bragging rights and respect among ranch dressing lovers around the world, these 12 competitors were trying to win the grand prize of free wings every week until spring 2025, along with a $100 gift card.
Once the contest started, if you looked away, you might have missed Zach Orvis finish off 24 ounces of ranch dressing in just 10 seconds.
When asked by Fox 17 about how he consumed so much ranch so quickly, Orvis said,
“I’ve seen people pour about that much on their salads, so what’s the difference?”
The Harmful Rooster live streamed the contest on their Facebook page.
I'm not a huge ranch fan myself; I have it sometimes with wings or a veggie tray at a party, but I simply can't imagine downing a giant glass of it, regardless of the prize.
I guess I better leave the ranch chugging to the pros and focus on chugging beer.
