A Michigan Nurse’s Date Night Took a Heroic Turn During This Comedy Show
I love reading about those stories of a person that was having a medical emergency being saved by someone that jumped into action.

Some examples include a person that is choking at a restaurant and is saved when the Heimlich maneuver is done to dislodge whatever was stuck in their throat.
Or a person that knows how to do CPR to help keep a person alive until medical help arrives.
A Michigan nurse who was on a rare date night with her husband was put in a similar situation and didn't hesitate to help a man in need.

On Friday, March 6th, Amy Rowe went to see comedian Emily Catalano at the Blind Pig in Ann Arbor.
She was excited for the surprise date night with her husband because between working as a nurse at C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital, and raising three kids, getting out like that doesn't happen very often.
The couple decided to grab a seat near the front.
During the show the comedian Emily Catalano asked her what she did for a living in Ann Arbor.
She replied that she's a nurse, and just a few minutes later, a man stood up and tried to make his way to the back but struggled to stay on his feet eventually going down to the ground.
As everyone in the audience gasped in shock, Rowe got up from her table that was just a few feet away and began trying to help the man.
She told someone to call 911 while she tried to help the man who was lying on the ground.
Paramedics arrived and she walked outside to the ambulance to check on the man, who appeared alert and doing ok after getting some fresh air.
The show was able to go on and everyone left that night with a memory they'll probably never forget.

Rowe recently spoke with MLive about that night and shared why she loves her job as a nurse.
“I love that I get to be a helper no matter where I’m at and to care for people in tough times of their life. We get to help in hard times and hopefully put people at a little more ease when they’re going through a hard time.”
This incredible moment was caught on video and shared online by the comedian.
Thanks to Amy Rowe and all the amazing medical professionals that are always there in our times of need whether it be at a hospital or a comedy show on a Friday night.
