More West Michigan Labor Day Walks
Everyone knows about the Mackinac Labor Day Bridge Walk, but not everyone wants to make the commute. If you're looking to get outdoors and get a little bit of exercise on Labor Day, there are plenty of options in West Michigan.
We've told you about the Labor Day bridge walk in Grand Rapids. It begins at 8:00am at Ah-Nab-Awen Park and goes for five miles while crossing seven bridges.
Here are a few more options on Labor Day in West Michigan:
- Grand Haven: Meet at Harbor Island near the Third Street Bridge at 9:00am. The walk will go for 3.5 miles and ends with an ice cream social.
- Holland: Meet at Kollen Park/Heinz Waterway Walkway, near 16th Street, at 9:00am. The walk is about 4 miles and ends with a pancake breakfast. Cost is $5 for adults, $3 for children, under 3 is free. Proceeds go towards the Recreation scholarship.
- Hart-Montague Bike Trail Walk: Walk begins at 10:00am at East Spring Street in Montague behind Whitehall Products and Montague Foods.
