Going to a job interview can be stressful.
I've had several times where I struggled to sleep the night before because I was scared I wouldn't hear my alarm to wake up and miss the interview.
One Michigan man was on his way to a job interview when his car broke down on the side of the highway.
MSP Trooper Goes Above And Beyond So Man Doesn't Miss Job Interview
Trooper Jacob Genslau responded to a car fire on I-69. When he arrived the fire had been put out by the cars owner Alan Miller.
While Alan was talking to Trooper Genslau he told him that he was on his way for a job interview at BSI Paving in Metamora.
What happened next has people saying Trooper Genslau went above and beyond his duty to serve and protect
Trooper Genslau shared with CBS Detroit why he offered to give Alan a ride
"Just a short 20-minute car ride to potentially change his life makes it all worth it, I don't do this for the pats on the back or the shout-outs, but to help somebody when we can, when it's appropriate, it's fitting for our job. We signed up to protect and serve, and in most opinions, that's serving and protecting someone."
