September 11th, 2022 marked the 21st anniversary of the September 11th attacks on America. On the morning of September 11th, 2001 nineteen terrorists hijacked four commercial airliners.

The hijackers crashed the first two planes into the twin towers of the World Trade Center in New York City, and the third plane into the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia. The fourth plane was intended to hit a federal government building in Washington, D.C., but crashed in a field following a passenger revolt.  After the attack, America came together and vowed to NEVER FORGET.

In the early hours of Sunday, September 11th, 2021 the Michigan State University rock was painted white with an American flag and at the bottom the words 2,977 lives never forget.
