Muskegon County Hosting Walk-In COVID Vaccine Clinic this Friday

If you still need to get your COVID-19 vaccine and haven't had any luck getting an appointment, Muskegon County is hosting a walk-in vaccine clinic on Friday the 23rd.

The press release from the Health Department states that the clinic is open to everyone who's eligible which means 16 and up, and because it's walk-in that means no appointment is necessary. However, it's best to go earlier rather than later because the clinic could shut down early if they go through all the vaccines.

The vaccine clinic will be held at the Viking Athletic Center in Whitehall from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. All you need to bring with you is your ID and everyone is asked to wear a mask.

The Pfizer vaccine will be administered. I actually just got my first dose this morning and it was a very easy and quick shot. As far as side effects my arm felt tingly sore and I've had a headache all afternoon. But if that's the worse to get us closer back to normal then it's worth it.

To save yourself time you can fill out the registration form ahead of time and bring it to the clinic with you. There's one for adults and minors. 16 and 17-year-old's must have a guardian on-site with them.

As of April 21, Muskegon County has had a total of 12,553 COVID-19 cases and 307 deaths.
