
Early Morning Crash in Egelston Township Leaves Driver Dead, Passenger Injured
A Michigan man is dead, and his passenger remains in critical condition following an early morning crash in Egelston Township.

The crash happened around 4am Sunday on Carr Road south of Apple Ave.
According to the Muskegon County Sheriff’s Office, 56-year-old David Alan Ogborn Jr. was driving his motorcycle with a 51-year-old woman on back as his passenger.
He was turning on a curve when he drove off the road and into a tree.

Ogborn was pronounced dead at the scene, but his passenger, who was taken to the hospital in critical condition, is expected to fully recover from her injuries.
The crash is still under investigation.
I'm thinking of the families of those involved in the crash.
My cousin was killed while riding his motorcycle after a woman ran a red light and struck him.

Now that spring has arrived in Michigan and hopefully warmer weather too, now is a good time to remind fellow Michigan drivers that you need to be alert and remember that you're sharing the road with 250,000 motorcycle riders.
The Michigan.gov website has these suggestions for drivers to make sure everyone stays safe.

- Most motorcyclist-vehicle crashes occur at intersections when a vehicle turns left into an oncoming motorcyclist.
- It only takes a second for traffic to turn into tragedy.
