Muskegon Wants You To Vote For Your Favorite Playground Designs
It's time to forget that you are an adult and go back to your youth so you can pick out your favorite playground.
This fall, the city of Muskegon has plans to install two new playgrounds at parks this fall and they want your input.
The city is planning on spending around $500,000 on the new equipment for Beukema Park and Reese Playfield and they want to make sure the community has the opportunity to include their input in the playground designs.
According to an article by WZZM 13, "The playground equipment will be paid for with revenues from beach parking fees collected in 2020."
You can register to vote for your favorite playground design on through the City of Muskegon's website, ConnectMKGCity.com. Voting will take place between now and August 13th. And if voting online isn't your thing, you can send a letter to Muskegon Department of Public Works at 1350 East Keating Ave., Muskegon, MI. 49442 or you can call them at 231-724-4100 and ask for the DPW director.
You don't have to be a resident of Muskegon to vote on your favorite playground design. The only requirement is that you visit Muskegon in some capacity, like working in the city, vacationing in the city, or maybe you just are a frequent visitor.
