The Lions hired Dan Campbell to change the culture of being perennial losers. And if the way to get there is to bite kneecaps, I'm all in.

Campbell had his introductory press conference Thursday in Detroit, and he made quite the splash. The former Lions tight end, who endured the winless season of 2008 is coming out in a spirited mood.

Campbell said his team is going to be tough. Something the Lions haven't really been since Jim Caldwell was unceremoniously fired three years ago.

Campbell told the gathered media:

“We’re gonna kick you in the teeth, and when you punch us back, we’re going to smile at you. And when you knock us down, we’re gonna get up. And on the way up, we’re going to bite a kneecap off.”

I'm sorry. I was mistaken. Not just bite the kneecap, but bite it OFF. And if you watch the entire quote below, he goes on to say we'll be taking 'hunks' out off of the opponents.

Okay. I suppose a little cannibalism never hurt anyone. Outside of the Donner Party.

And here's some more of the new coach, who kind of looks like an athletic "Dude" from the Big Lebowski.

Judging from fans reaction, the new coach's old school rah-rah beat 'em up style is a huge hit!
