Police Investigating Deadly Crash In Ottawa County – Drivers Asked To Avoid The Area

At least one person is dead after a three-vehicle crash that has shut down a portion of westbound Interstate-196 business loop.

Ottawa County dispatchers are asking that drivers avoid the highway at Byron Road.

The accident occurred around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday. At least one person was injured and trapped in their vehicle. WZZM-13 reports that dispatchers are not sure how many people may be injured.

Ottawa County Sheriff's deputies and Zeeland Township firefighters are responding to the crash.
