President Trump Says Protesters Are ‘Very Good People’, Gov. Whitmer Should ‘Give a Little’
President Donald Trump has again taken to Twitter to comment on the unrest in Michigan and Governor Gretchen Whitmer.
Friday morning, Trump tweeted that the protesters who showed up at the state capitol building yesterday are "very good people", and that Gov. Whitmer should "give a little" and "make a deal" to curb their anger.
Yesterday's protest moved from the lawn of the capitol building to the inside of the building as protesters chanted and insisted that they be allowed in to the House floor (which is off-limits to the public).
Thursday night, Gov. Whitmer issued an executive order extending Michigan's state of emergency through May 28, 2020. She issued an additional order that extended the closer of bars, casinos, salons, and more.
