Michigan Business Owner Donates 140 Thanksgiving Meals To Spite Scammers
Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday because it's one of the only ones that isn't about spending tons of money on presents or things we don't need. It's just about gathering around the table and telling your loved ones how much they mean to you, while you break bread together.
But some people are just spiteful and rude no matter what day of the year it is, including people who try to scam a Michigan Business owner who is known throughout the internet for having the best snacks in the world, let alone the mitten.
And after commenters on the Rare Munchiez social media accounts started to roll in accusing the owner and face of their social media videos of scamming others out of orders.
But he quickly clapped back and said not me buddy, YOU'RE the scammer!
And then showed all the happy orders he's packing out of his store this week, as well as showing off the quiet donation he made to 140 families in need in East Michigan.
And while I can't say I know every single thing that happens with every order that goes through the Rare Munchiez website, I can tell you as someone who has shopped at their brick and mortar store here in Michigan, he's as nice as they come.
After seeing an instagram post that they'd be closed the day i planned to stop in, I sent a "dangit" message, and he said "it's okay, i'll open up just for you" and came into the store to let my husband and I do a quick shopping haul. And he says he'd do this for anyone if he can, so I know it wasn't VIP treatment.
