Never Forget: Sharing Stories Of The 3 Students Lost In The Michigan State University Shooting

On Monday, February 13th, three students on the campus of Michigan State University lost their lives due to a senseless shooting tragedy.

But, those three students were more than another number to be added to the US' growing total of deaths in school shootings. They were children, sisters, brothers, and friends of people in our community.

And since we’ve learned more about the three students that were tragically killed in Monday night’s deadly shooting on the MSU campus, I want to share their stories.

Who were the three students killed in the MSU shooting on Monday, February 13th?

Michigan State University Department of Police and Public Safety identified the three victims:

Arielle Anderson, a junior from Grosse Pointe. Her family released a statement saying she was passionate about helping her friends and family and service to others. They said she dreamed of being a surgeon and was working toward completing her undergraduate studies early to make that happen.

The second victim, Brian Fraser, was a sophomore from Grosse Pointe and he was the president of MSU’s Phi Delta Theta chapter. The fraternity says Brian was a great friend to his brothers, the Greek community and everyone he met on campus.

And third was Alexandria Verner, a junior from Clawson exemplified kindness every day of her life and had a lasting impact on everyone in Clawson, according to her old superintendent.

The five other students who were shot remain in the hospital in critical condition as of Wednesday morning. However, according to doctors and nurses, they have a long road to recovery.
