Don't let this blow up your 4th of July plans.

Over 11,000 fireworks are being recalled by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission because they violate federal standards aka they've got way too many explosives.

26 different brands under GS Fireworks sold exclusively in Wyoming, MI are under the recall. According to the USCPSC,

The recalled fireworks are overloaded with pyrotechnics...

The overload can cause a greater explosion and potential burn hazard. No injuries were reported from these fireworks but the Michigan State Fire Marshall were a part of the investigation.

The fireworks were sold between March and May 2018 and about 260 units are a part of the recall. You can see all the brands and product names here.

The recall also includes 11,000 units of Patriot Pyrotechnics sold in Sheridan, MI. The reasoning is the same as the latter and no injuries were reported. However, these fireworks were sold from January 2017 to July 2018. See the full list & pictures here.

If you have any of these fireworks you're asked to not use them and you can return them to place of purchase for a full refund.

Another set of 25,000 fireworks are also being recalled in Indiana that resulted in two injuries including an 8-year-old who lost his hand. Get more info here.
