Shooting Outside Wealthy Street Market Leaves 1 Person Dead

WOODTV reports that a shooting outside of the Wealthy Street Market just after 2:30 pm on Wednesday afternoon left one person dead.

Wealthy Street Market is located on Wealthy at the intersection of Diamond Ave.  Police told WOODTV that a suspect has turned himself into the GRPD. WZZM says the shooter called the police and identified himself as the shooter.

WZZM also reports that the victim of the shooting was a 23-year-old male from Grand Rapids, but police haven’t released a name or any other information in the shooting, as the investigation is continuing.
