In fairness, I haven’t been to the Sleeping Bear Dunes, but if they’re like any sandy beach area with a hill.. climbing up them seems like a LOT of work.  But When you can sled down them, I guess that makes it all worthwhile.

UpNorthLive.com reports that the dunes are now open for sledding and that quite a few people were out on Saturday, enjoying the 100-foot hill.

Heads up, you do have to bring your own sled, and no one will carry it up the dune, while you pant and complain about all the exercise you’re getting.

Yes, I said complain, because  I would.
