Snoop Dogg has been added to the roster of the inaugural Hoop 4 Water charity basketball game event in Flint, Michigan.

According to HipHopDX, the hip-hop vet will help with hosting the Hoop 4 Water charity basketball game. The event is scheduled to take place on Saturday (May 21) at 2PM at the Dort Federal Event Center. Ticket prices range from $10 to $100.

"I'll tell you what, Snoop loves Flint," said Morris Peterson, the creator of the event. "He is doing this from his heart, and he's not asking for a dime. He's coming down here on his own merit, and he's concerned with what he can do for the city."

"We want to make people feel good and continue to bring awareness to the Flint water crisis," he continued. "I don't want it just to be swept under the rug and this is one of my ways of giving back just to bring people together and forgetting about everything for a few hours."

Proceeds from the Hoop 4 Water charity basketball game will go to the Morris Peterson Jr. Foundation to help the communities of Flint, MI.

“We’re from Flint,” Tonda Peterson-Bryant, Peterson’s older sister and executive director of the MPJ Foundation stated. “That community did a lot for us, so this is the least we can do.”

Other celebrities confirmed to attend are Detroit Pistons star Andre Drummond, NFL running back Mark Ingram, MSU standout and NBA retiree Jason Richardson, Detroit Lions TE Eric Ebron, and radio personality Sway Calloway.
