Spanking: Abuse or Not Abuse?

It's something you don't hear as much about, at least since I was a kid - but is spanking abuse or not abuse?

According to WZZM, over the past few decades there has been a huge debate on if parents should spank their child as a form of discipline.

WZZM recently did a survey where 78% of those surveyed said that spanking is an acceptable form of discipline.

The American Academy of Pediatrics reports that spanking harms children.

The AAP says that spanking "increases aggression in young children in the long run and is ineffective in teaching a child responsibility and self-control."
