An oil tanker rolled off I-75 in Bloomfield Hills late Saturday, 'disintegrating' an exit ramp in the process.

The crash spilled over 13,000 gallons of fuel, most of which burned up shortly after the incident, which occurred at the Square Lake Road eastbound exit off I-75.

The flames took hours to extinguish and, miraculously, the driver got out of the truck and was treated for just minor injuries, according to Michigan State Police.

Bloomfield Township Fire Chief Mike Morin told the Detroit News the road surface "looks like gravel" following the fire and that the exit would be closed for awhile because the road was "disintegrated".

A Michigan redditor caught this video of the intense flames involved in the resulting explosion.
