When you search for the perfect taco, there are dozens of choices throughout west Michigan. And while I won't claim to be an expert, I've been known to follow my favorite taco truck around the city in the warmer months, knowing I can get my favorite Verde sauce.

I recently found myself at Poncho's tacos on 28th street. It's unassuming, tucked back into a shopping center, but once you walk inside, you'll find yourself floored by the amazing backdrop they've set up for you to pose in front of.

But It's not just about the Instagram post you'll be able to make. The food is also Instagram-worthy too.

Ponchos makes some of the best tacos I've had in Grand Rapids, and if you're more of a quesadilla or burrito fan, you won't be disappointed with what they plate up for you. They've got a great selection of proteins and specials that you can have something different every time you come in and still find yourself wowed by the flavor. And their selection of Jarritos sodas is unmatched. (I'm obsessed with the lime and have to get one every time I visit.)

And those two sauces they set on your table bring your food? They aren't from taco bell... that Verde sauce has the best kick that will make you come back begging for more. The rich flavor reminds you that their authentic flavors are made from scratch and not for the faint of heart. I was immediately obsessed.

And while Grand Rapids has its fair share of authentic Mexican restaurants, not many of them come with the charm and friendly atmosphere that Poncho's prides itself on.
