‘T-Rex', the story of Flint-native and Olympic Gold Medalist Claressa “T-Rex” Shields will play for free on Saturday, October 3 at ArtPrize Seven. Seats will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis at Michigan House at 40 Pearl Street NW.

Take one step into First (Park) Congregational at ArtPrize Seven and Jim Triezenberg's "Dino-Zar" will have a smile on your face. The bicycle has been 30 years in the making. It includes dozens of gadgets and moving parts, a geiger counter, running water, refrigerator and more.

When you visit ArtPrize as a family, minimizing walking and avoiding crowds takes on a new importance. First (Park) Congregational at 10 E Park Place NE provides a good starting point. More importantly, the venue has a lot of entries that will grab the interest of kids.

The ArtPrize Seven Jurors' Shortlists were revealed on Monday. The five finalists for Outstanding Venue contained a few regulars. SiTE:LAB, UICA and Kendall College have all been finalists before. The list also contained a couple of surprises with newcomers Processing Fiber at 250 Monroe and Spiral. Take a look inside.

ArtPrize takes over Grand Rapids for a few weeks each fall. We are now familiar with the competition, but it can be difficult to explain to someone who has never attended or isn't from West Michigan. Brian Kelly's new video shares the spirit of ArtPrize Seven. The video shows that ArtPrize is about more than just the art and the voting, it's the people that make the event what it is.

Take a walk along the Grand River at Sixth Street Bridge Park during ArtPrize and one entry is sure to grab your eye, Copy Culture's "Minimalist Division". "Minimalist Division" is a large mirrored cube which allows visitors to walk inside.

ArtPrize Seven jurors narrowed down their favorites and gave voters more to think about as the jurors revealed their top five in each category at tonight's ArtPrize shortlist event.

Jeffrey Augustine Songco’s ArtPrize installation “Revelry” at Calder Plaza is a 200 foot long chain link fence originally decorated with 2,700 pounds of Mardi Gras beads. Only a fraction of those beads remain after most were taken by ArtPrize visitors on Saturday.
