Chick-fil-A in Lansing is the first stand-alone restaurant to open in Michigan Thursday, October 13 and people have been camped out since 6 a.m. Wednesday.

The Atlanta-based fast food chain want to build a new restaurant on the land formerly occupied by Fajita Republic on the East Beltline, just north of Knapp's Corner.

Michigan residents have been ecstatic since finding out that we were going to get Chick-fil-A and in multiple locations! We've been anxiously waiting and pretty soon the wait will be over! Two locations are having their grand openings next month...

The first West Michigan Chick-fil-A location breaks ground at 1545 Edgeknoll Drive SE on Thursday, August 25th.  The Kentwood location will be the third Michigan location once it is completed. Chick-fil-A has not given a date for it's completion...

Chick-fil-A plans to expand to 20 locations in Michigan over the next five years, the fast food chain announced this week. According to MLive, the company is opening two locations in Troy and Lansing in Fall 2016, and is eyeing locations in Grand Rapids, metro Detroit, and Kalamazoo.
