The city-funded program just added another $250,000 to try to help 17 more businesses that are affected by current restrictions.

This number is up from Monday's original estimate of $448K.

Grand Rapids has become well-known for its level of participation in the arts and community events:  lip dubs, zombie walks, Chinese lantern launches, etc. Is it time to bring a more permanent interactive piece of art to downtown Grand Rapids?

There's been talk for a few months now of giving Grand Rapids' landmark 'Blue Bridge' a bit of a makeover, and it seems officials have finally come up with a plan.
