Road construction

Summer is just around the corner and that means construction here in Michigan.  US-131 looks like it will be a parking lot during rush hour for the near future.  Road construction is planned on several segments of US-131 starting now and ending in September...

Fox 17 reports a long list of streets are schedule for work by midsummer.

Road projects are EVERYWHERE around town, and a new one is set to start on Monday.

Facebook Spring and summer bring better driving conditions to West Michigan (we hope) but that doesn't mean that travel is always going to be faster.  The orange barrels will see to that.   Today, the Michigan Department of Transportation announced several West Michigan road construction projects for 2012.

The Michigan Department of Transportation is suspending most road projects for the holiday weekend. Three road projects in West Michigan will continue, however. Road work will continue on 36th Street at U.S. 131 and Hall Street and 131, the Fuller Avenue ramp on I-196 will be closed for the weekend.
