Mayor Rosalynn Bliss announced Sunday that the city of Grand Rapids has a new website being developed.

Following this year's divisive presidential election, Grand Rapids Mayor Rosalynn Bill is calling on residents of the city to "model the behavior we wish to see". In a statement released by Bliss' office, the mayor urges citizens to support one another.

The 2016 Art Van Santa Parade presented by the Grand Rapids Jaycees is Saturday, November 19. The parade has named the grand marshal and special musical guest.

Grand Rapids' mayor Rosalynn Bliss has penned a letter to the mayor of Orlando and the city as a whole, extending the city's deepest condolences and support.

In a letter to Kalamazoo Mayor Bobby Hopewell, Bliss wrote: 'We are terribly saddened by the events of this past weekend. We also express our sincere sympathy and offer prayers and peace during your period of grief and mourning.'

Outgoing Grand Rapids' Mayor George Heartwell has made his endorsement for his replacement this coming November. Monday morning, Mayor Heartwell gave his support to Rosalynn Bliss, who is currently the commissioner of the 2nd Ward.
