NASA reached a major milestone Friday as the Orion spacecraft completed its first voyage to space, traveling farther than any spacecraft designed for astronauts has been in more than 40 years. As I walked into work today, I stopped in the lobby to watch the big screen coverage of NASA's thirty-year space shuttle program come to an end. History was made earlier today as Atlantis safely landed in Cape Canaveral, Florida.  Four astronauts took the trip into space to deliver a year's worth of supplies and food to cosmonauts who remain living at the International Space Station.
