Talking Baby, Guests, And Routines – Steve’s Daddy Tips (5-19-21)

This week, Steve is proud to announce that he has brand new baby Izzy audio! What will she say? Is it actual words, or just baby mumbles? You be the judge with this week's Daddy Tips!

1. This week’s first Daddy Tip isn’t an actual tip, it’s brand new baby Izzy audio! Check out the segment below, she can totally say “hi daddy” right now. Uh, ok, maybe it isn't exactly "hi daddy", but it's close enough for me. Do you think that this will count as some of her first words? Let us know in the comments!
2. The next Daddy Tip is all about when you have guests at your house. We’ve had family visiting and helping us around the house after my wife had surgery. And I learned really quickly on how I should utilize their help. Always have them help with the kids over anything else. They offer to do the dishes, you say no, but you can play with Charlotte. Or if they want to fold the laundry for you, you just say no thanks, but you can feed the baby. Because time off from being a parent is way better than getting your dishes cleaned.
3. And your final Daddy Tip this week is to always try to not break your routine if you have one. We’ve set a pretty good routine for the kids these last couple of months, but now that we’ve had guests living with us for the last couple of weeks, everything is flipped upside down. And that has meant Charlotte’s sleep schedule has been messed up, Izzy isn’t napping as well because it’s at different times than normal, and Charlotte has been getting cranky because she has been eating lunch later. Kids are creatures of habit, so when you disrupt their schedule it’s no fun for anyone.
