Taylor Swift has made a massive donation to the Tennessee Equality Project (TEP), a non-profit organization, to help them in their fight against anti-LGBTQ bills in the state.

She donated a whopping $113,000 to the advocacy group and even wrote them a heartfelt, handwritten letter explaining why she decided to give the money to their organization. “I’m writing you to say that I’m so inspired by the work you do, specifically in organizing the recent petition of Tennessee faith leaders standing up against the ‘slate of hate’ in our state legislature,” she wrote to the group's executive director Chris Sanders.

“Please convey my heartfelt thanks to them and accept this donation to support the work you and these leaders are doing. I’m so grateful that they’re giving all people a place to worship," Swift continued.

According to Out and About Nashville, the donation is “equivalent to nearly an entire year of [Tennessee Equality Project’s] operating budget.” Her generous contribution has even caught the attention of celebrities like Ellen DeGeneres and Katy Perry, who praised the "Delicate" singer on Twitter.

Swift, who has has been relatively quiet when it comes to her political views, broke her silence just one month before midterms, urging fans to get out and vote. "I believe in the fight for LGBTQ rights, and that any form of discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender is WRONG," she wrote on Instagram at the time.
