It’s Wednesday evening and I just finished writing a blog about a pot party happening this summer. After hitting the “publish” button, I decided to reward myself for a job well done by taking a hit off my bowl and that’s when I started looking at memes.

About four to five minutes in, I came across one meme that made me stop in my tracks. Or in this case, stop scrolling.

This meme made such a valid point I couldn’t help but start dissecting it in my brain. It said:

Instead of remaking great movies, they should remake bad movies that were based on good stories but did not meet expectations.

BRILLIANT! Why didn’t this cross any of our minds?!

I’m sure you can think of a bunch for yourself right now, for example,

  1. Tim Burton’s version of Alice in Wonderland
  2. Suicide Squad
  3. The Holiday
  4. Inception
  5. Leprechaun 4: In Space

I understand these might be beloved movies to some but they were complete let down’s to me and therefore deserve a re-do.

Reboots and remakes have taken over the movie and T.V. industry over the last handful of years and a lot of the times, the remakes are nowhere near as good as the O.G.! So why can’t we give bad movies the same Hollywood treatment?

What do you think? What bad movie should get a remake?
