The Iconic Moelker Orchard Closes For Good After 115 Years
Sad news for everyone who loves and has visited Moelker Orchards!
After 115 years, Moelker Orchards is closing for good.
The Moelker Family announced it on their Facebook page.
"Our Market and Old Bell Bakery are closing permanently as of December 23, 2022. We will be putting the farm up for sale in early 2023. We truly value the many relationships that we have made over the years and we have so many wonderful memories to treasure!"
The farm and orchard will be closing because Tom and Bonnie will be retiring!
"2023 is almost here and with it comes a major change at Moelker Orchards. The Moelker family has been running the farm since 1907 and has had the pleasure of providing quality goods to our community through all 115 of those years. However, Tom and Bonnie will be retiring from farming after this year. They are excited about their future and what God has in store for them in this new phase of life."
However, do not get sad yet! It will not affect your holiday season.
The orchard will remain open until Friday, December 23rd. So, they will be having their final Customer Appreciation Day on Saturday, December 10th.
"We hope you stop by to celebrate with us and share memories. Between now and December 23, it will be business as usual. We will continue to have apples, ciders, donuts, pies, crisps, dumplings, muffins, fudge & jarred goods available. It is our goal to sell through our current inventory, so some items may run out sooner than that."
While we are sad to see the farm go, we are happy to see the Moelker family flourish in other ways.
