Thank goodness for repeat episodes on television!  I missed the premiere of the new music industry-based reality show, The Voice, on NBC Tuesday night because I was at another event.

When Channel 957 friend, Terry, called with a personal two thumbs-up review, and alert that the network was going to re-air the show last night (Wednesday), I made sure I set aside the time to watch and formulate my own opinion!

Halfway through the two-hour debut, I started thinking that this show could do some serious damage to the ratings for American Idol!  I loved the fact that the four coaches -- Christina Aguilera, Cee-Lo Green, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton -- couldn't see the performer until they hit a button that committed them to potentially work with the talent.  Genius!

I also loved the element of surprise after seeing the contestant for myself and being able to watch the expressions on the curious coaches faces, if that makes sense!

Finally, I appreciated the passionate speeches each coach gave, if there was more than one vying for a contestant to join his or her team.  Christina Aguilera and Cee-Lo are very complimentary and Blake is simply adorable.  Adam is the tougher artist to please, but you can tell that he has great pride in his ability to choose a winner ... how's that?
