Times Square Cookie Monster Arrested For Fight With Toddler

A man who spends his days dressed as Cookie Monster was arrested Sunday after pushing a toddler during a fight with the child's mother.

The man, whose name is Osvaldo Quiroz-Lopez, had his picture taken with a two-year-old Sunday afternoon, and then asked the child's mother to pay him $2.

The child's mother refused to pay the man, and he became agitated, and shoved the child. Police arrested him for assault and endangering the welfare of  a child.

According to RadarOnline, Quiroz-Lopez was also shouting obscenities at the mother and her children. His next court date is scheduled for May 1.
