Maybe some people would consider me to be a grinch, but I hate seeing Christmas things popping up everywhere before Halloween is even over.

Let me have my fun costumes, candy, and mischief before you start busting out the trees, lights and mistletoe. It feels like a fair trade since Christmas already gets almost two months straight of celebration. But, there are some people ready to get into the Holiday spirit, including Michigan's capital city.

Over the weekend, the Michigan state Christmas Tree arrived in Lansing, and those in charge of it quickly got to work starting to set it up.

(Call me crazy, but maybe this is why we are getting snow on Halloween this year... you wanted Christmas, so now we gotta see tiny flakes reminding us winter is around the corner.)

But, I argue, is it too soon to start celebrating Christmas? While the official lighting of the tree doesn't even kick off until Friday November 17th. It does take a lot of time to set up and decorate a giant Christmas tree. But, could they at least have waited until November 1st to flaunt it?

Imagine going to trick or treat and seeing someone with lights and a tree in their window. Feels weird, right? But I guess for some, they're so ready for the season, they don't care about the Halloween lovers who are losing part of their holiday to rushing the season.

Either way, your chance to celebrate the tree comes up at Silver Bells in the City, get details on their website.
