As the weather continues to be sunny and the heat advisory gets higher by the hour, it is time to compile a list of things to do in the city! It's time to be outside, ladies and gents!

After moving to Grand Rapids, many people suggested where to go in the city and the state.

With all the suggestions, I made a list of all things that are required for me to have the hot girl summer I intend to have.

1. Go on a rollercoaster

From people's suggestions, Michigan's Adventure is a must for the summertime. It is the largest amusement and water park in the state! The best part is only roughly an hour away! I must get on The Shivering Timbers as soon as I get to the park! The roller coaster goes up to speeds up to 65 mph. That sounds like music to a roller coaster enthusiast's ears! Also, Michigan's Adventure extended its offer until June 20. You can buy a season pass for only $79!

2. Visit one of the lighthouses!

A lighthouse on a summer bucket list? Yes! Let me explain! As a Harry Potter connoisseur, it is a dream to recreate the scene where Hagrid tells Harry that he is a wizard. That scene lives in my head rent-free. Luckily, Michigan has plenty of lighthouses to choose from, such as Tawas Point Lighthouse or Forty Mile Point Lighthouse.

3. Visit Michigan's Wine Country

Wine is every woman's best friend. There is no better way to relax during the weekend. Picture yourself at a winery, with the breeze running through your hair while you sip your favorite glass of wine. Perfect, right? The two that I want to visit immediately are Chateau Chantal and Chateau Grand Traverse. Chateau Chantal has its tasting room open after hours! With each night's stay at Chateau Grand Traverse, the guest receives a bottle of wine. This sounds like heaven!

Honorable mention: Walk 65 feet above the ground!

This is an honorable mention since it is not in Michigan but it is something that could be a nice weekend trip. After a chill four-hour drive, you can have the experience of a lifetime. In Cancun, I did an experience like this. I cannot wait to see what Michigan has to offer. The Canopy Walk is a 500-foot-long walkway that sits 65 feet above the ground in Ohio. It's a place that every person in the family can enjoy.
