For the third year, Vernors has teamed up with Pure Michigan and is bringing back their lighthouse cans, with one exception, this year, the limited-edition collectible cans will feature all-new lighthouses, according to UpNorthLive.

The lighthouse cans will be sold in twelve (12) packs throughout Michigan for a limited time, from the end of July through late September, and will feature 8 well known, iconic if you will, lighthouses including two of our favorites in West Michigan.

UpNorthLive reports the lighthouse in South Haven along with Big Red in Holland will be the two West Michigan landmarks with the other 6 being:

Tri-Centennial State Park Light (Detroit), Au Sable Point (Grand Marais), DeTour Reef (DeTour Village), Port Austin Reef (Port Austin), Harbor Beach and Pointe Aux Barques

(Port Hope).

Beth Hensen, market development manager for Keurig Dr. Pepper, which owns and licenses the Vernors brand told Michigan.Org:

“Vernors is a Michigan original with a proud 153-year heritage and a devoted following in the state unlike any other soft drink, and we want to celebrate what makes this state such a special place to both live and visit. Through this promotion, we hope our fans will enjoy these keepsakes and be inspired to visit and take pride in these one-of-a-kind coastal treasures.”

This year's release coincides with the Michigan Lighthouse Festival that kicks off August 2nd in Port Huron and will take place at 6 different lighthouses, including three that are featured this year on the Vernors can, Harbor Beach, Point Aux Barques, and Port Austin.
