We’ve just barely made it out of the summer of 2016, but already Downtown Grand Rapids Inc. wants you to start thinking about next summer!

They’ve opened voting for next summer’s “Movies in the Park” and there’s about 100 movies to choose from.

Trying to remember what we saw this past summer? Well we got to see Wizard of Oz, Men in Black, A League Of Their Own, The Mask of Zorro, Edward Scissorhands, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off and Jumanji.

“Movies in the Park” is going into its 5th year in 2017 and brings in around 30,000 people to Grand Rapids during the summer.  Twice a month, they set up a giant screen in Ah-Nab-Awen Park and show the movies for free along with having entertainment before the movie and food vendors set up as well.

Not to influence your votes, but I’m really hoping Mrs. Doubtfire, Dr Doolittle and The Breakfast Club, makes next year’s line-up.
