According to the official press release,

"the interactive local Halloween guide for neighbors allows people to share how they will be celebrating Halloween - whether it's decorating one's home or taking part in the neighborhood trick-or-treating by giving out candy."

In partnership with Purina's dog treat brand, Beggin', Nextdoor expanded its Treat map for doggies with a new feature.

"In addition, a unique pet-friendly pin will be available to neighbors in the U.S., enabling pet owners or pet-welcoming neighbors to include their furry friends in the trick-or-treating fun."

If you want to let your neighbors know you will be celebrating this year's festivities. There are three options you can choose from.

  • Candy Pin

You can use the candy pin to indicate that you will be giving away treats for the little trick-or-treaters.

  • Decorating Outside Pin

Halloween is all about decorating to the scariest extreme. If you are decking your house haunted house style, you can tap the haunted decor pin so that people can know to visit.

  • Beggin' Pin

Pets need love (and treats) too. So, if you plan to help people's furry friends, you can select the Beggin' pin. This will show people that your home is a pet-friendly spot on their candy hunting that night.

If you want to get into the Halloween fun, you can use the Nextdoor app or visit nextdoor.com/halloween for more details.
