West MI Glamping Destination to Add Cocktail Bar, ‘Treehouse Spa’
A luxury glamping destination in South Haven is getting even more luxurious!
Ahead of the 2021 season, MLive reports that The Fields of Michigan is expanding by adding an indoor/outdoor cocktail bar, a "Treehouse Spa,” and nine additional guest tents.
If you're not familiar with glamping, basically you get to experience all the awesome parts of camping without having to actually "rough it". Tents at The Fields come equipped with en suite bathrooms, king sized beds, desk and seating areas, wood-burning stoves and cooling units, and even fancy touches like luxury linens and chandeliers. According to the Detroit Free Press, the 30 acre blueberry farm features a small vineyard, garden, and The Barn event venue. It's about half a mile from the Kal-Haven hiking trail and 3 and a 1/2 miles from Lake Michigan.
According to MLive, in addition to plush accommodations and chef-prepared meals, guests will soon be able to enjoy a Treehouse spa "which will indeed be tucked into treetops, surrounded by pines -- that will accommodate up to two guests for individual and couple’s treatments, including massage and aromatherapies." The new indoor/outdoor bar "will serve smoothies and juices made from local produce, craft cocktails starring blueberries and herbs grown onsite, and beer and wine."
Sign. Me. Up!
Even more people can enjoy all of this next summer with the addition of new tents that will bring The Fields' total to 19.
Founder Irene Wood tells MLive,
“Having the opportunity to nearly double our occupancy capacity and add new luxury amenities to our repertoire during this unprecedented time is deeply meaningful to us. We look forward to creating these additional avenues for guests to safely behold our one-of-a-kind, curated experience.”
The Fields' season runs Memorial Day through October. You can make reservations for 2021 here.
