
West Michigan’s Fireworks Guide: July 4 Celebrations You Can’t Miss
Summer is in full swing in West Michigan, and the Fourth of July weekend will be here before we know it! Tons of communities around West Michigan take time to celebrate our country with parades, music, food, activities, and, of course, fireworks.
With the Fourth of July falling on a Friday this year, there are going to be plenty of opportunities for you to take in not just one, but multiple fireworks shows throughout the holiday week/weekend.

West Michigan Fourth of July Fireworks Dates and Times 2025
From the lakeshore to the suburbs, to downtown Grand Rapids, there's bound to be a fireworks show near you. Let's take a look at this year's celebrations.
When: Saturday, June 28
Fireworks: Dusk
You'll have to wait until dusk to check out the fireworks, but there are tons of other things happening throughout the day in Caledonia. There's the Kilt Classic (kicks off at 8 a.m.), and the annual parade (11 a.m.) early in the day.
When: Thursday, July 3
Fireworks: 10:15 p.m.
It's Allegan's annual July 3 Jubilee! Organizers invite everyone out to celebrate at this "patriotic community festival featuring food (5-10 p.m.), a parade (5:30 p.m.), live music (6 p.m. - 10 p.m.), activities, and fireworks!"
When: Thursday, July 3
Fireworks: Dusk
It's the annual Light up the Lake Fireworks in South Haven! Organizers say that the best places to view the show are Riverfront Park, North Beach, and South Beach.
When: Friday, July 4
Fireworks - 9:45 p.m.
Ada and Cascade come together for their fireworks every year. If you want to make a day of it, both Ada and Cascade have a full day of events planned prior to the fireworks show.
When: Friday, July 4
Activities in the Park - 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Fireworks - 10:15 p.m.
Allendale's Annual Activities in the Park at Allendale Community Park features food vendors, the Lions Club chicken BBQ, a car show, caricature artists, face painting, airbrush artists, balloon artists, Henna, a petting zoo, live music, and more!
When - Friday, July 4
Parade - 12 p.m. (noon)
Inflatables, food trucks, and water ski show - 1-3:30 p.m.
Music - 8 p.m. - Dusk
Fireworks - Dusk
East Grand Rapids' Fourth of July celebration is one that many look forward to every year. There will be the annual parade, kids and family activities at John Collins Park, and a grand fireworks show over Reeds Lake.
When - Friday, July 4
Fireworks - 10:10 p.m. - 10:35 p.m.
Grand Haven's fireworks are like no other because they partner perfectly with the Grand Haven Musical Fountain!
When - Friday, July 4
Parade - 10 a.m.
Fireworks - at Dark
The City of Grandville really does it big for the Fourth of July! The day starts with the Veterans Breakfast at 8 a.m., followed by the parade at 10 a.m. Then, the party moves to Oakestown Intermediate School, where there will be an arts & crafts show, food vendors, a princess/super hero meet & greet, crafts, inflatables, and live music! When - Friday, July 4
Fair Food - 12-10 p.m.
Fireworks - Dusk
Various fair foods will be available throughout the day as Holland celebrates the Fourth of July, and then the day will culminate with the fireworks over Lake Macatawa. It's suggested that you watch from Kollen Park.
When - Friday, July 4
Pancake Breakfast - 7:30-9:30 a.m. (at Kentwood Fire Station 1)
5K Race & Fun Walk - 8 a.m. (at Kentwood City Hall)
Parade - 9:30 a.m.
Carnival Rides & Kids Activities - 10:30 a.m.- 2:30 p.m.
Beer Tent, Food Trucks, and Live Music - 4-10 p.m.
There's tons to do in Kentwood for the Fourth of July! Food, a race, a parade, carnival rides, a beer tent, more food, live music, and more!
When - Friday, July 4
Live Music - 8-10 p.m.
Fireworks - 10:20 p.m.
In addition to live music and a DJ, the pre-firework Fourth of July activities in Muskegon will also feature food vendors.

Parade - 10 a.m.
Fireworks - Dusk
This Fourth of July celebration brings Whitehall and Montague together as the parade makes its way from Whitehall City Hall to Montague City Hall!
When - Saturday, July 5
Entertainment - 6-10:20 p.m.
Fireworks - 10:30 p.m.
Grand Rapids' annual fireworks show will take place at Ah-Nab-Awen Park once again this year. Leading up to the fireworks show, you'll enjoy music from DJs and The Greenbridge Band.
When - Saturday, July 5
Fireworks - Dusk
The annual fireworks display in Saugatuck will be set off over Lake Kalamazoo starting at dusk. Organizers suggest watching the show from Coghlin Park, Cook Park, Wicks Park, Mt. Baldhead Park, The BARge, The Butler Patio, Coral Gables, the Old Boat House, or the lawn area between the Red Dock Parking Lot and Blue Star Highway.
