Fruitport Township VFW Shooting: What We Know About the Chaos That Left 6 Injured
What should have been a night of fun and unforgettable memories for some West Michigan students will now forever be remembered as a scary and traumatic event.

Late Saturday night outside of the Fruitport Township VFW hall, gunshots rang out.
Wood TV spoke with Lisa Wisniewski-Bosworth, who lives about 50 feet away. She said that she heard between 30-40 gunshots.
“It was a chaotic scene. There was screaming, crying, yelling, hollering. I was scared because this was an active shooting, I couldn’t let them in our home because it was an active shooter situation and I didn’t know who it was. If they were being chased by the shooter or shooters.”
During the chaos, a teenage daughter of Wisniewski-Bosworth’s friend was struck by a car while trying to escape the bullets, which left her in critical condition.

At the time of this story being published we still don't know many key details.
It's believed that up to 6 people were injured, including the one girl that was hit by a car.
I hope the other injuries were from people running away and getting hurt and not from being struck by a bullet.
