Will Ferrell (in character as "Anchorman" Ron Burgundy, of course) showed up to help cover a curling tournament in Canada.

Naturally, Ferrell didn't break character as Burgundy in Winnipeg, Manitoba, on Sunday, posing as a TSN sportscaster for the Canadian curling trials to choose Canada's representatives for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia.

He even gave curling a try himself. Who knows if he'd ever done it before, but he got within 12 feet of the target. That was super for someone who's never done it before!

It must have been beginner's luck or just some of that natural Burgundy charm.

"Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues," the sequel to the 2004 film about a fictional news team's sexist reaction to the arrival of an ambitious woman reporter, doesn't open until December 18. So, it's probable that we'll see Ferrell messing around as Burgundy other places as well.
